Easter Memory and the Hippodrome
When we were young (I was 8 to 10 years old), I remember our parents dressing us in our Easter outfits then we would drive to church for service. After, church Mom would give us money and the four boys would walk over to Superior and catch the Cleveland Transit System (CTS) bus downtown for (a dime) eat lunch at the Forum Cafeteria on East 9th street, then go to the movies at the Hippodrome theater that was so large that it span between Euclid and Prospect Avenue. -Ted

Good Memory Bother!
I recall some of this.
My memory of the Forum is slight. It seems that I may have been just old enough to be a burden to Skip and Larry to have to care for. Perhaps even, I was not there on some of the occasions. Mom was good about making sure that the olders had some time without us youngers (me and Karen).
I do remember being dressed for easter, taking pictures around the house; on the porch, behind and on the side of the house. I can remeber even taking posing for pics a Shakespeare Gardens, Fred parker and others hanging out.
As for mom putting us on the bus… I remeber Christmas rides on the CTS to look at lights and store windows. I remeber the shoping at Higbees at Santa’s Kingdom (whatever it was called) where adults could not enter and we would buy gifts for each other.
